Union was settled and competed with Conlis to the north for dominance of the area. Due to the amount of room Union had, Union won rail connection to Rockwell and recieved a train station. The Union Border Crossing was built and Union continued to prosper. It became the county seat of a newly formed Cordova County and remains the largest town in the county.
Union is home to several services including an office of the Nation of Aurum Customs and Border Protection at the Union Border Crossing.
Union is the county seat of Cordova County and houses a county jail, the Cordova County Sheriff's Office, and a courthouse.
Acorss the street from the county complex is the Union Medical Center which serves as the only hospital in Cordova County.
The town is also home to the Union School, a community church, and the Union Train Station. A county newspaper is made in town as well.

The town is home to a train station. It is also the northern terminus of the Union Highway which connects the town to Rockwell and Tulane County. The Union Border Crossing is an important route of travel between the Nation of Aurum and the Nation of Telmar and the town successfully attracts visitors and consumers from the Nation of Telmar and within Cordova County.

The town is home to the Cordova County Courier which is a countywide newspaper that distributes three times a week. On Sunday, Tuesday, and Friday. Their online edition of the newspaper is updated daily.
